Mineral Sunscreens!
Mineral sunscreens can be a bit tricky—some feel heavy, some leave a whitecast, and others surprise you with a smooth, lightweight finish.
Right now, I've got four different options open, each with its own strengths and quirks. Here's how they've been working for me!

Saint Jane Luxury Sun Ritual SPF 30

This one doubles as a primer with a soft matte finish. It has a beige-orange tint that helps counteract the whitecast, but it doesn't leave the skin looking orange. I love how easily it layers over skincare and under makeup without leaving residue.

Cocokind Daily SPF 32

With a creamier consistency, this sunscreen feels nostalgic like the classic formulas I grew up with. It does leave a noticeable whitecast and needs to be rubbed in well, but applying in thin layers makes blending easier.

Murad City Skin SPF 50

Finding a mineral sunscreen over SPF 30 that doesn't turn your face chalky can be tough, but this one stands out. The peach tint helps mask any whitecast, and the lightweight, watery texture feels almost like a serum. The only drawback is the steep price tag—at $69, it's definitely a splurge.

Josie Maran Get Even Sun Milk SPF 33

I had high hopes for this sunscreen, but it fell short for me. The watery texture is beautiful and blends easily, and the whitecast fades out fairly well. Unfortunately, the scent—reminiscent of overly sweet fruity cereal turns me off, and it tends to roll off when layered over most of my skincare.
Each of these mineral sunscreens has something different to offer, from Saint Jane's primer-like texture to Murad's lightweight high protection. While not every option works perfectly for me, it's been helpful to see the variety in formulas and finishes. The right choice really depends on your skin type, preferences, and budget!
