Cleansing Balm Rank!
Cleansing balms have completely transformed my skincare routine.
I used to prefer cleansing oils, but once I discovered how effective and gentle balms can be, I never looked back. They effortlessly melt away makeup, sunscreen, and impurities, leaving the skin soft and nourished.
I always follow up with a second cleanser for that perfectly clean finish. Here's my ranking of the cleansing balms I've finished or currently have in rotation and how each one performs!

1. Farmacy Strawberry Shortcake Clean Balm

This one easily takes the top spot. The texture melts beautifully into the skin and dissolves makeup quickly without leaving any greasy residue. The strawberry scent is sweet and refreshing, though it might not appeal to everyone — I personally love it as long as it isn't overpowering. It rinses off effortlessly, leaving my skin clean, soft, and balanced.

2. Banila Co Clean It Zero Balm

A long-time favorite for many, and now I understand why. The formula melts instantly on contact and removes all traces of makeup and sunscreen with ease. It's gentle, effective, and leaves no residue after rinsing. I recently revisited it after a while, and it might just be a close contender for first place. It feels refreshing, light, and suitable for everyday use — a true classic that never disappoints.

3. Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm

While this one is marketed as an affordable option, the price per gram ends up being close to premium brands. That said, it's still a solid choice if you want something that's gentle and efficient. It removes makeup and grime without irritation, though the texture doesn't melt as seamlessly as Farmacy or Banila. Still, it's reliable and suitable for sensitive skin, especially if you prefer fragrance-free formulas.

4. Aprilskin Carrotene Cleansing Balm

This balm is a bit more intense, so I only use it once a week. It's formulated to help with blackheads and clogged pores, which might explain why it feels a little harsh on my sensitive skin. It provides a deep cleanse but can be too strong for daily use. When used occasionally, it leaves my skin refreshed and purified — just not something I'd reach for every night.
Each cleansing balm has its own strengths, but Farmacy's Strawberry Shortcake remains my top pick for its balance of performance and texture. Banila Co is a close second for everyday cleansing, Versed offers a gentle middle ground, and Aprilskin is great for a deeper weekly detox. No matter which one you choose, a good cleansing balm can make your nightly routine feel more luxurious and your skin noticeably smoother.
