Duo Lipstick I Love!
Lipstick has a way of changing everything in seconds. Even on days when I barely touch the rest of my makeup, a good lip color can pull everything together.
Lately, I’ve been rotating between two that feel completely different but somehow both earn their place: the Makeup by Mario SuperSatin Lipstick in Flatiron and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte & Satin Velvet Lipstick. It’s less about choosing one over the other and more about deciding what kind of mood I’m in.

1. Makeup by Mario SuperSatin Lipstick in Flatiron

This one feels smooth in every sense. The finish has that soft sheen—not too glossy, not flat either. When I apply it, it almost feels like it blends into my lips instead of just sitting on top. The shade Flatiron gives a refined look without feeling overdone, which makes it easy to wear even when I’m keeping everything else minimal. I tend to reach for this when I want something polished but still comfortable enough to forget I’m wearing it.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte & Satin Velvet Lipstick

This one carries a bit more attitude. Whether I go for the matte or the satin velvet finish, there’s a stronger presence right away. The color payoff feels more defined, and I notice it shapes the overall look more clearly. I usually pick this when I want my lipstick to stand out rather than blend in. It’s not necessarily bold every time, but it definitely feels more intentional.
What I like is how they create two different impressions. The SuperSatin feels effortless, like it naturally fits into the look. The Anastasia one feels more deliberate, like I planned the whole makeup around it. Sometimes I even tap a bit of the satin formula over the matte one just to soften the edges—it changes the feel completely without starting over.
