Toners for Oily Skin!
Lykkers, oily skin has a personality of its own. Some mornings my face looks perfectly fine, then a few hours later my T-zone suddenly looks like it has been running a marathon. Finding skincare that controls oil without making the skin feel stressed is honestly harder than people think.
Recently, I’ve been switching between two toners depending on what kind of “bad skin day” I’m having. One helps when my complexion looks uneven and tired, while the other feels like comfort after my skin has gone through too much.
1. Avoskin Miraculous Dark Spot Toner
The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it feels. It sinks in quickly instead of leaving that sticky layer some brightening toners tend to have. My face still feels fresh afterward, but not stripped or overly matte. What makes me continue using it is the way my skin slowly starts looking cleaner and more even over time. Not in an unrealistic “instant transformation” way, but more like my complexion begins looking healthier week by week. I especially appreciate it after acne leaves dark spots that refuse to disappear on their own.
2. NPURE Centella Toner
This is the one I use when my face feels irritated, overheated, or just exhausted from trying too many active products. The cooling sensation is subtle but really calming, especially at night after spending all day outside or wearing makeup too long. I like that it doesn’t try too hard. Some skincare products feel aggressive, like they’re trying to “fix” everything at once. This toner feels quieter. It simply helps my skin settle down. Whenever my oily skin becomes sensitive at the same time, this is usually the bottle I trust more.
I used to think oily skin needed one strict routine every single day, but my skin clearly disagreed. Sometimes I need something that focuses on clearing uneven tone and leftover acne marks. Other times, my face just wants hydration and calmness without extra drama. That’s why these two toners work well together in my routine instead of competing with each other.
