Gel Cleanser Ratings!
Hi Lykkers! If you’re someone who loves a gentle morning cleanse like me, then gel cleansers probably already have a permanent spot in your routine. I’ve been using a few lately, and I realized each one gives a completely different experience—not just in texture, but also in how my skin feels right after washing.
So here’s my current little “ranking” based on what I’ve actually been using in my AM routine.

1. Tiam Snail & Azulene Low pH Cleanser (4/5)

This one has honestly become my comfort cleanser. I’m already on my third repurchase, which says a lot because I don’t usually stick to one cleanser for too long. What I love most is how my skin feels after rinsing—clean, but not stripped at all. There’s no tight, uncomfortable feeling, just soft and hydrated skin that still feels calm. It also does a better job at cleansing compared to the other two I’ve tried. It removes that light overnight oiliness without making my skin feel like it’s been over-washed.

2. SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Gel Foam (3.5/5)

This one is definitely pleasant to use, but it didn’t fully win me over. It feels gentle and hydrating during cleansing, and I do like how soft my skin feels afterward. However, I noticed that when it comes to actually cleansing more thoroughly, it doesn’t perform as strongly as I expected. It’s one of those cleansers that feels nice in the moment, but I sometimes wonder if my skin is fully clean afterward—especially on days when I’ve used heavier skincare the night before.

3. Keep Cool Cleanser (3/5)

This one and I just didn’t fully click. The texture is quite thick and gel-like, almost a bit too viscous at first. I found myself needing to add more water just to get it to spread properly and feel comfortable on the skin. After cleansing, my skin also feels a bit tight, which is something I try to avoid in a gel cleanser—especially for morning use when I want my skin to feel fresh and hydrated, not dry. It’s not a bad product, but it just doesn’t suit what my skin needs right now.
Trying these three made me realize that a good gel cleanser isn’t just about being gentle—it’s about leaving my skin in that “still happy, still balanced” state after washing. Right now, Tiam is the one that fits into my routine the most naturally, while the other two are okay but not quite perfect for my skin needs.
