Lip Mask Battle!
Hi Lykkers! As someone with naturally dry lips, a good lip mask is one skincare product I refuse to skip. I've tried quite a few over the years, but these two are the ones I've been using the most lately. One is a cult-favorite K-beauty product, while the other is a more affordable local option.
Here's how they compare based on my personal experience.
1. LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask EX
My rating: 5/5
I completely understand why this lip mask has such a loyal fan base. The texture is rich, smooth, and feels incredibly comfortable on my lips. I usually apply a generous layer before bed, and when I wake up, my lips feel noticeably softer and less flaky. On days when my lips are especially dry, this is the product I trust the most. What I like is that it creates a protective layer that stays on throughout the night. By morning, my lips look healthier, smoother, and much more hydrated.
2. Emina Lip Mask
My rating: 4/5
This one surprised me more than I expected. Considering the price difference, it actually does a pretty decent job at keeping my lips moisturized. The texture is lighter compared to Laneige, which some people might prefer if they don't enjoy thicker lip products. For everyday maintenance, I think it works well. My lips feel softer after using it, although the hydration doesn't last quite as long as Laneige on my very dry-lip days. Still, I find myself reaching for it often because it's easy to use and doesn't feel heavy before bed.
After using both, I feel like they serve slightly different purposes in my routine. When my lips are extremely dry, peeling, or in need of serious overnight care, I always reach for Laneige. It gives me the most noticeable results by morning. But for regular maintenance or when I want something lighter, Emina does the job surprisingly well without costing as much.
